Eye care professionals only -ocular allergy treatments after PRK?

Jennifer asked:

Here in the last couple of days, I’m having some increased burning sensation in my eyes. I’m done with the medicated drops, and am using my artificial tears every 3-4 hours. The tears didn’t burn when I put them in before the past couple of days. I’m using Refresh Plus single use vials. I stopped taking my Claritin thinking that perhaps it was the antihistamine drying my eyes out. I am having allergies, but at 4 weeks postop, I’m not sure if I can put anything else in my eyes that a doctor would prescribe for ocular allergies. I’m sure this is a result of my allergies, as when I have nasal symptoms, my eyes are involved also.

Any suggestions? Eye care professionals, optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians only please.
I suppose I should say that I would ask my PRK surgeon, but he’s on vacation this week…and I do not talk to my docs about my health/ocular problems because I do not feel that work and personal should mix :)
