Some Facts About Facial Care

You need to be quite regimented in terms of facial skin care. Get in to a program and stick to it. The five main aspects of facial skin care can be sorted as follows:-

• Cleansing

• Toning

• Exfoliating

• Moisturizing

• Protection

Cleansing:

First and foremost is cleansing. It sounds like stating the obvious but state it I will. Taking away the days dirt, air pollution, grease, and sweat from your skin will help avoid harm and infection. Apply a mild oil free soap or cleansing lotion and a cotton wool pad and dab, not rub. Cleansing is best done in the morning and at night as part of your routine. Always use a preparatory make-up remover this is often better than using water and soap.

Toning:

The following part of your facial skin care routine is known as toning, it is really an extension to cleansing. You actually only should do this extra cleansing occasionally when you have perhaps taken part in an activity or been in an environment that has made you sweatier or dirtier than usual.

Exfoliation:

You do not have to exfoliate daily. Weekly or maybe 2 times a week according to what your skin has been through all week. We all naturally loose skin cells, its part of being human. Skin cells die its actually what makes up a lot of the dust at home, however, a few of the dead skin cells require help, this where exfoliation comes in. The act of exfoliation is abrasive on the skin so you should be careful to not cause damage to healthy living skin.

Moisturizing:

Moisturizing is probably the most important part of your daily facial skin care routine. Moisturizing your skin will avoid it from becoming dry, in particular after each of the dirt, grease and oil have been eliminated during your cleansing routine. Dry skin can lead to all sorts of problems, for example, cracking. Cracking of the skin can cause soreness and possible infection. Use your moisturizer when the skin is a little damp and not when the skin is cold. Using a gentle upward motion, as with cleansing, apply your moisturizer.

Protection:

Previous to using any product on your skin, testing the product on a small unseen area is a good idea. Know your skin type before selecting the products you intend to use. Always apply the best quality sunscreen or even better sun block if you intend to spend time outside, the sun can be really harmful to the pores and skin so it is vital to protect against its rays. Always read the label of any product for applying it to your skin.

Why Less Is More In Skincare

Eve Lom is one of the most respected and sought-after names in the beauty world.Eve herself believes that cleansing is the most important part of skincare, so her entire skincare treatment begins with her now famous cult Cleanser, described by Vogue as the “best cleanser in the world”.The pared-down skincare regime Eve recommends is based on deep cleansing and the philosophy that less is more when it comes to effective skincare. Eve Lom skincare products and the signature Eve Lom facial are now available as luxury signature treatments and products at stores and spas around the world. In fact there are spa breaks you can go on where the only product they use is Eve Lom

Eve developed her cult Cleanser as a result of what can only be described as serendipity. While studying and training in the USA, Eve absent-mindedly gave a client a facial using an oily cleanser an oily skin. She realised her awful mistake and was so worried that she had made her client’s skin worse that she quite literally had sleepless nights over it. However, weeks passed and the same client called back again and asked for another facial, insisting it was with Eve Lom and nobody else. The client’s skin had improved and was clean, soft and radiant. This made Eve realise that oil-based cleansers can actually improve skin, because although they remove make-up and dirt effectively, they don’t strip the skin of its natural oils like so many other cleansers do.

Using a powerful blend of Egyptian chamomile, hops, clove and eucalyptus oil together with cocoa butter and a specially woven muslin cloth, the Eve Lom Cleanser cleanses tones and exfoliates in minutes.Suitable for all skin types, even the most stubborn make-up and eye make-up is removed but the skin is left smooth and glowing. It’s this gentle but effective treatment that went on to form the basis for Eve’s famous facials which result in clean, perfectly balanced skin and a radiant complexion.

Dry Skin Care

Sometimes skin has a low level of sebum, which is the natural oil that is produced by skin glands. It is called dry skin and it cannot hold moisture and will look parched and feel tight when washed and in some extreme times, it can show some signs of chapping and cracking. The wind and very high or low temperatures can steal the natural moisture and make the skin feel tight across the bones. Dry skin can cause embarrassing flakes and any mark or dry skin will be very dull and show up on cheeks and near the eyes. You may also find dry skin on the knees, hands and in the mid section.

The most common cause of dry skin is the lack of sufficient moisture from sebum. In some cases, this can be due to genetic conditions. There are also environmental causes like exposure to sun, cold, cosmetics, chemicals, and wind can cause dry skin too. Other reasons can be poor diet. A diet that is deficient in vitamin A and B is more likely to take away the skin’s moisture. Skin diseases like dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, or seborrhea are causes of dry skin. It can be a result also of other conditions like diabetes and hypothyroidism and the use of certain drugs like diuretics, antispasmodics, and antihistamines.

Dry skin is also going to need a lot of easy cleansing, massage to stimulate the sebum production and a lot of quality in moisture and oil. When you are washing your skin with soap it will take out the natural protective oil along with the dirt. Use of a good moisturizer will return lost water content to the skin. You can use neutral not acidic or alkaline products for washing the skin and abstain from using commercial soaps. After the second cleansing you need to treat the skin lightly with moisturizing cream.

Once you have taken a bath or shower, you can apply baby oil over the skin. The area that is around the eyes needs to have a bigger application of the oil. You can also massage your face and apply some homemade remedies that are suggested by a doctor.

Every morning you should treat your skin with a spray of mineral water. You should then apply some beauty mask for dry skin and mix together one egg, teaspoon of honey, half teaspoon of olive oil and a couple drops of rose water. This makes a great mask to use on your face and body.

Eating a good balanced diet that is loaded with vitamins and minerals is a great idea. You should include some sulfur containing foods like onion, garlic, asparagus, and eggs as part of your diet. You can eat more carrots and yellow and orange vegetables. You should refrain from alcohol, caffeine, coffee, tea, and sugary drinks. Other items to limit are French fries, and other junk food that are high in grease or fat. This will help to keep your skin healthy and stop it from drying out.

Half Of All Skin Care Products Are Not Good For You Claim Experts

Skin care is a massive industry, and a competitive one at that.
New companies are popping up all the time and lots are finding relative success by selling online and not having to spend money on expensive shops.

This has caused a few issues in terms of quality control however, as experts from Norway claim that around half of skin care products available on the net have negative effects on the skin.

A complete spectrum of around 450 products were tested, chosen at random from various Internet sites and spanning all sorts of costs, volumes and places or origin. There were both facial care and also hand care products sampled, and they were all tested extensively on various types of skin and measured on their effectiveness, ease of use and side effects. A control group who were given basic moisturizer where also used in the study.

The results were a little alarming and should be an eye opener for anyone looking to buy this type of product. Firstly the study found that around 70% of the products did not give any benefits to the user, and what is more, over 50% of the products had negative side effects. The recorded side-effects included rashes, itching, tightness, dryness and even blistering.

One expected result that the study did show however was that the more expensive products had the most benefit to the skin. In fact the products that cost in the top 20% of the list all showed positive effects and had no side effects. The overruling advice from this research has to be to do your research and only buy the highest quality skin care products you can. Further more, only get you skin care products from places you can trust and who have been trading for a long time such as this spa in London. Secondly, if you are new to using a certain product make sure you test on it on small area of skin on the arm first to see how it reacts, before you apply to the face or on large areas of skin.

eyes see!~does creams works?

    eyes
    Eyecream skin care?
    What about that?

These eyes are not the windows of our our soul, for me. Why?

It’s because, there is no soul! Our soul is us,ourselves. In that case the way they see us physically is a big factor. Actually our eyes is a way of communicating ,no words needed! These eyes is what those guys wanted to see…

    So girls, keep reading.

Eyecreams were invented and well tested to lessen unwanted lines around our eyes, wrinkles, and eyebags. It tightens the eye’s skin. It makes skin firmer, smooth and clean.
If your budget is good, the expensive one will change everything. But! It is better to consult your dermatologist first before anything. They know what is best!

Some eye cream types contain ingredients that help firm the skin, like caffeine, retinol, or vitamin C. These may temporarily provide a firmer look to the eyes. Take note:TEMPORARILY. Examine your eyes, use a mirror. You might notice that there is fine and transparent delicate skin surrounding the eye area . Actually, the skin around the eye is actually five to ten times thinner than the skin on the rest of the face. In that case, these eyes need much attention to protect and use carefully.

When applying cream, first of all, a “sunflower seed” size is enough to do two eyes. So you do not need to put cream as much you use toothpaste! Apply using your ring finger to your orbital bone. Do not go close to your eyes, just on the bone. Skin around our eyes like I said is too thin, massage the cream away from the eye itself. If you put it too close it “migrates”towards your eye and this is what causes puffiness.

There’s no study that these creams will permanently erase those eye enemies. However, you can prevent them from enemies. You can use moisturizers. Sliced cucumbers, potatoes and cold spoons will help relax and keeps the eye’s skin looks firmer, tight and makes young looking eyes.

    Take note:
Creams are clinically tested. It is clear that they contain chemicals that could beautify you or harshen your skin. If your wallet is thick enough to provide your hygiene and beautification needs, go! But if not, go for natural and cheaper ways.

Proper care and determination to look beautiful is a must! In addition, there’s no beautiful eyes if there’s no good in your inside.
